Pam Billinge

I have over twenty years’ experience in blue-chip global organisations and worked with a range of businesses in the public and private sectors both as an internal and external consultant.  My work spans facilitating and coaching with teams and individuals at all levels.

I have had a career that has taken me into different companies both nationally and internationally as I began my career as a French and Spanish graduate working at INSEAD, the European Business School.  On returning to the UK I worked for a range of companies in organisation development including Coopers & Lybrand, BAe Systems, followed by an operational management role in Nokia during the difficult boom and bust of the telecommunications sector.

I am a fluent French and proficient in Spanish, an Affiliate of the Centre for Leadership Studies, Exeter University and I have a Professional Certificate in Body Psychotherapy (involving 4 years of study and further 2 years of training under supervision). I am licensed to use Myers Briggs Type Indicator and SHL bank of Psychometric questionnaires.  I am a member of the CIPD and I comply with the standards of the UKAHPP.

Leadership and Team Development
Working with a leadership team for a firm of business consultants, I was asked to help the leader of the team to improve her leadership through better coaching skills and also to enhance the performance of the team.  The team leader commented, “The experience had a profound effect on me as a person and as a leader. This insight has grown and magnified since participating in the programme – unlike many other leadership programmes where the impact has diminished over time’.

The Director of Marketing was already a high achiever with a formidable track record in his field.  The initial objectives for the coaching included development of emotional intelligence, becoming a more effective and inspirational leader.  Through coaching, the client learned that by being a strong leader, with vision and direction and with integrity of emotion, those around him could feel safer and more comfortable.
